Overview of Role An informed and impartial perspective to help our clients reach their goals through the design and execution of strategic M&A and financing solutions. We provide impartial, expert advice to large and mid-sized corporations, private equity, families and entrepreneurs, and governments. We design and execute strategic M&A for our clients and act as a trusted partner, taking a long-term and independent view on the challenges they face. A highly established and successful team in the Bank, across the City of London, and Globally covering the entire automotive value chain. Our deep understanding of both the traditional automotive and auto-tech sector, the high volume of landmark transactions we advise on, and our unrivalled network to key decision makers in over 40 countries, enables us to achieve outstanding results for our clients and act as their most trusted advisers. Responsibilities

  • Work on several transactions and with multiple project teams simultaneously on all critical aspects of transactions, ranging from client development and initial opportunity evaluation to transaction strategy and execution
  • Preparation of financial and economic analyses including but not limited to DCF, LBO and merger models required for evaluating and completing such transactions, as well as client presentations, information memoranda and other marketing materials
  • Experienced banker who understands the entire M&A process (sell-side and buy side), can liaise with clients and take full range of responsibilities across the transaction process
Education and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
Experience, Skills and Competencies Required
  • Prior experience in an M&A advisory role
  • Previous Automotive and broader Industrials Investment Banking experience is preferred, but not essential
  • Proven quantitative and analytical skills to develop financial models (DCF, LBO, Merger model) and valuations with a deep understanding of financial statement analysis
  • Ability to provide direction and leadership in order to build a strong team environment and to build effective relationships between individuals, teams and lines of business, across different geographies
  • Ability to build long-term, professional relationships that add value to the client and lead to the expansion of the business
  • Experience leading client presentations, managing projects and the execution of transactions
  • Ability to simultaneously manage several projects in an extremely fast paced environment in order to meet critical deadlines
  • Knowledge of the relevant financial and regulatory environments that surrounds M&A
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Open to working on both landmark transactions as well as transactions involving disrupting growth companies in the auto-tech space
